Founder of Activrep and sports agent since 2012. His experience in negotiation, international markets, and hundreds of deals gradually led him to structure Activrep around Structured Representation: an approach aimed at turning individual experience into a structured, augmented, and measurable collective capacity to execute.
LinkedIn · Maxence KaroutchiOriginally from Toulon and surrounded by rugby players, Maxence Karoutchi decided at age 15 to make sports representation and career support his profession.
A graduate of KEDGE Business School's Grande École program, he gained his first experience in sport during his studies by helping Toulon's football club find partners and sponsors.
He then joined IBM in Madrid, in marketing, then IBM in Buenos Aires, in a sales role. There he also attended IBM Sales School, developing his culture of sales, negotiation, and commercial processes.
An entrepreneur at heart, he founded Activrep at 25, as soon as he obtained his FFR agent license, notably with the ambition of building a real bridge between the French and Argentine markets.
His personal and professional journey has since been built between Toulon, Madrid, Buenos Aires, and Tenerife, where he is now based, while developing his activity across several international markets.
His negotiation ability rests on quickly analyzing the positions, interests, and objectives of the different parties, paired with a strong culture of conviction: "If you're not convinced, you can't be convincing." and "Understand the value before trying to negotiate it."
Representative case — Vadim Cobîlaș: while the tighthead prop was undervalued in the English market, Maxence identified a potential higher than the market's perception at the time. His positioning in France then helped establish him durably among recognized players at his position in the Top 14.
For key cases, market and positioning work can start up to two years before a contractual deadline, cross-referencing the athlete's sporting development, performance data, contractual situation, clubs' future needs, and market intelligence.
Maxence personally applies the organizational principles he develops within Activrep: weeks structured into operational blocks, prioritizing cases, regular market analysis. Technology doesn't replace his experience, his network, or his judgment — it helps better organize information around decision and action.
Starting in 2021, with Activrep's growth and the addition of new agents, Maxence gradually began documenting his methods, structuring processes, and organizing the flow of information within the agency — an effort that accelerated sharply from 2025 and today forms the foundation of Structured Representation.
