The story between Cristian Ojovan, ASM Clermont and Activrep spans several years. The Moldovan international tighthead prop joined Clermont in 2018 from Stade Aurillacois, in a first operation carried out with Activrep. In 2021, ASM called on Activrep again and a three-season extension was agreed. In 2025, as Cristian approached a new contractual deadline, the club wanted to continue with a player who had become an important part of its front row. For the third time along the same journey, ASM mandated Activrep to work on a new agreement.
The issue was no longer identifying the player or his fit at the club. After several seasons at Clermont, both parties knew each other perfectly well. The challenge now was determining whether their outlooks remained aligned for a new cycle. ASM wanted to keep an important tighthead prop in its rotation. Cristian, for his part, had to weigh the club's proposal against the rest of his career. The work consisted of bringing these two perspectives together.
Activrep held discussions with ASM to understand the club's context, its wish to extend Cristian and the role it envisaged for him in the following seasons. In parallel, discussions with the player helped clarify his expectations and ambitions for the next stage of his career. Activrep then led the negotiation between the parties until a shared agreement was reached. This new operation drew on the knowledge built up over the two previous negotiation cycles between Cristian and ASM.
In November 2025, ASM Clermont officially announced Cristian Ojovan's extension for three further seasons. The tighthead prop is thus committed to Clermont through June 2029. This is the third operation carried out by Activrep with ASM around Cristian's journey: his arrival in 2018, a first extension in 2021, and now this new agreement in 2025.
The value of a relationship is not measured by a single deal. When the same club renews its trust at several stages of a player's journey, the accumulated knowledge allows each new negotiation to be approached with more context.
