In September 2025, Stade Français, hit by several injuries in its squad, urgently needed a loosehead prop. For Activrep, Jack Iscaro's profile was no discovery: the American international prop, playing in MLR, had been followed and analysed for a year as part of Activrep's work on American players who could move to the European market. The relationship with Stade Français was likewise maintained over time — despite several years without a completed deal and changes of contacts, the relationship with the club had never been interrupted.
The main obstacle was assessing the profile. Jack played in MLR, a league still little watched by French recruiters, particularly when it comes to assessing a front-row player and his ability to meet Top 14 scrummaging demands. Early presentations of the profile ran into the same barrier: his home league and his status as a foreign prop made him hard for French clubs to assess. When Stade Français's urgent need appeared, the challenge was therefore having enough evidence to better qualify that risk.
Activrep first drew on groundwork done in advance. Its international network had identified Jack Iscaro a year before the Paris club's need arose, following an introduction to Marcelo P. Blanco, former general manager of Old Glory DC. The player was then followed and analysed. His grading was supplemented by studying his performances and his international match-ups against Top 14 reference points at his position, including Ben Tameifuna, whom he faced with the United States in November 2024. This analysis led Activrep to consider the profile relevant for a Top 14 presentation. Discussions with the player then completed this assessment on the human dimensions and also confirmed his immediate availability. When Stade Français's need appeared, this groundwork made it possible to speed up execution: a video call with the Paris staff, an agreement the very next day, arrival in Paris three days later, and his first scrum session shortly after. Activrep acted through an introduction on behalf of Stade Français.
The agreement was reached within 24 hours of the video call with the club. Jack Iscaro arrived in Paris 72 hours later. His first weeks led the club to continue with him beyond the initial need: as early as December 2025, his deal was extended and he was tied to Stade Français through 2027.
An unfamiliar market should not prevent a player from being assessed. When reference points are missing, it is necessary to create the evidence that allows the risk to be better qualified.
